We brought a visit to Verbeek because we wanted to introduce our work on improving the design of crates and containers for the transportation of poultry. Inspection calf transports from Ireland to The Netherlands
On the 13th of March two teams from Eyes on Animals inspected calf trucks leaving Rosslare (IE) Port and heading to Cherbourg Port (FR) via the Stena Roll-on Roll-off ferry service. The trucks were transported by the Stena Carrier ferry that was especially deployed for transporting calves in February and March. Meeting with Rondeel and Den Ouden chicken-catchers
Today we held another talk with Rondeel and Den Ouden chicken-catching company about the plans they agreed on with us to start catching Rondeel hens in the more humane "EonA Dutch method".
