Due to today’s warm weather , Eyes on Animals decided to visit a public parking area where poultry trucks from Clazing slaughterhouse are known to park while awaiting their turn to unload. Eyes on Animals was invited to Van Rooi pig slaughterhouse in Helmond. They wanted our advice on animal welfare at their facilities where they could/should make improvements. We made an announced visit last Friday to Ameco slaughterhouse in the Netherlands. Deformed broiler chickens put on transport
At approx. 9AM Eyes on Animals inspected a poultry-truck parked up along the A6 Highway as the driver was running early on his way to Storteboom slaughterhouse in Kornhorn. Inside the truck we saw several broilers with seriously deformed legs. They were barely able to stand or walk.
