Eyes on Animals inspects, trains and advises all parties that have a duty-of-care towards farm animal welfare.

Millions of farm animals do not receive the protection they deserve according to European legislation. That is why Eyes on Animals was created. We:

- check on livestock markets, farms and slaughterhouses
- inspect livestock trucks on the highways and important border-crossings
- report cases of animal suffering to government authorities and politicians

From our headquarters in the Netherlands, we work throughout Europe and beyond, like the animal trade itself. Our international presence is very much needed, because government supervision is often understaffed or ineffective. And official inspectors cannot cross borders. Eyes on Animals can. Eyes on Animals believes in the power of dialogue and changing the industry from within. As long as the livestock industry exists, small improvements in the daily practices can alleviate the suffering of millions of individual animals. We:

- give Welfare-Workshops to livestock truck-drivers internationally
- train highway police on EU animal transport legislation
- suggest “best practices” on the work floor to industry
